Yoga for Tweens & Teens

“The point we emphasize is strong confidence in our original nature”

-Shunryu Suzuki

Budding Buddhas offers tween and teen boys and girls an opportunity to strengthen body, mind and spirit into a unified whole.

The turbulent tweens and teens are a perfect time for the refinement and overall sense of self that yoga provides, and our programs are designed to help students maximize these benefits.  By harnessing youthful energy and encouraging each student’s uniqueness, Budding Buddhas instructors promote individuality and socialization.

Through discussion and yoga practice, groups explore themes such as compassion, self-respect and healthy living.

We will integrate mindfulness techniques, stretching and challenging poses while teaching them how to take their yoga practice off the mat and into their every day lives.

Taught by Certified Kids Yoga Instructors from "Budding Buddhas" Kids Yoga.

Our Yoga and Mindfulness Programs are offered at locations throughout Westchester and the surrounding areas.

Yoga and Creative Expression

(Ages 8-11)

"Your journal, like your mat, is your refuge, a place where you can let your guard down, discover who you really are, and celebrate that discovery."

-Bruce Black (author of Writing Yoga)

Budding Buddhas treats preteens to a mind/body combo of yoga and expressive writing, collage and drawing.

During each session, students alternate between yoga poses and their journals, in a rewarding interactive experience of self-awareness, positivity and fun.

Themes and writing prompts such as confidence, inner beauty and joy offer structure, while allowing for endless possibilities to emerge.

Yoga and creative expression offers a double opportunity to learn about yourself and share with others on the same path!

Baking Buddhas

Baking Buddhas Weekly Class

Each week, our budding bakers will create a sweet treat, followed by an instructed yoga class.  In this virtual program, we will be baking confetti cupcakes, M&M cookies, and Oreo stuffed brownies.

Our yoga practice  will mirror the process of baking.  We will have the right amount of balance and flow to create a calm, peaceful mind and body.  We will end with a sweet relaxation.

Your child just needs access to a computer and a passion for baking and yoga!  An ingredient list & basic preparation instructions will be sent out prior to each class.
